Our conviction : The patient’s participation in the treatment of his/her illness
Our conviction : The patient’s participation in the treatment of his/her illness

Neither good treatment nor good results are possible without the active participation of the patient.  This is a novel and essential way of seeing the problem.

The fact of implicating the patient from the diagnostic up to the evaluation of the results, does not at all relinquish the doctor from his responsibilities, on the contrary.  A contract is established which binds the doctor to the patient and leads to:

  • listening constantly and attentively to what the patient has to say,
  •  sharing information transparently (diagnostic, weighing up the benefits vs. risks of the treatment, results),
  •  renewing the free and enlightened consent of the patient, without which nothing is possible.

The patient is at the heart of the action plan:

The knowledgeable patient is actively involved in the action plan deployed to help and cure him.  He is put in the best living conditions possible, agreed with the doctor.

There is no rupture upon entry to the clinic.  The patient can have the visit of his friends and family and remain in touch with the outside world.

The surroundings and the hotel facilities contribute to the sense of comfort and safety in a healthy environment, devoid of useless restrictions.

The patient is free :

The patient may express his choice regarding the doctor who will accompany him. He maintains a privileged relationship with him, which is responsible and essential to the success of the hospitalisation.  He is the source of all the information that he needs to understand the state of his health.

The patient evolves in a climate of confidence, indispensable to the good of the treatment to which he freely consents.

The patient is active : he participates daily in :

  • the process leading up to the diagnostic,
  • the decision made concerning treatment,
  • carrying out the treatment,
  • the preparation of his discharge,
  • the meetings and working groups.

He learns about his illness and also how to combat relapse (Therapeutic Education).

He takes part in the evaluation of the results.
